I finally figured out how to get ANSI.SYS to load in VDMs that I start
via the 4OS2 START command.  :-)

Put a DEVICE=X:\OS2\MDOS\ANSI.SYS statement in CONFIG.SYS!

It took me over 12 years to figure that one out...  Sad.  ;-)
