Subj : Husky maintenance release of hpt and fidoconfig To : All From : Tobias Ernst Date : Thu Jan 04 2001 03:41 am Hello world! The Husky project provides free and portable fidonet software for Linux, OS/2, Windows and other platforms. Today we announce the following: - maintainance (bugfix) re-release of fidoconfig 0.10c and hpt 0.9.7d The maintainance re-releases (available in source and as binaries for OS/2 and Win32) of the tosser hpt, the ticker htick and the Squish/Jam/MSG message base packer and purger sqpack, as well as of the accompanying libraries, are made from the stable development branch and ONLY contain bug fixes, but nearly no new features. This means you can easily replace the old verisons with the new ones, but it also means you won't get many new features or big behaviour changes. This does not mean that no new features have been developed, it just means they are not included in this maintenance release. This maintenance release mainly includes: - A bug fix for hpt's areafix auto-adding "EchoArea" statements to your fidoconfig file which later cannot be parsed, so that on the next run hpt will refuse to work. - Miscellaneous other bug fixes (see the ChangeLog files for more information). ATTENTION: Source code users must first install the new fidoconfig before compiling the new hpt for the bugfix to work. On the other hand, binary users don't need a new fidoconfig package at all.
