Subj : Routing matters To : All From : Kees Wiegel Date : Tue Nov 28 2000 12:24 pm Someone able to help me out on the subject of routing in BBBS? My situation: Running OS/2 Warp 4 fp 14+ Running a FTN mailsystem with Binkley/FMail/GoldED I'd like to change to BBBS. I managed to convert (kind of...) the outbound Setting up the nodes in External.BBS puzzled me a bit I do have points with 3 akas each; main akas are in LifeNet (zone 77) second akas in FidoNet (zone 2) and most of them still have another (old) aka also in FioNet (also zone 2). Now I'd like to route a point's mail destined for any of their Fido akas via their LifeNet aka. Reading the docs I found out to give the respective Fido akas a ! flag and put the Fido akas of each point in the Route column of their LifeNet aka like this: ; nodes pw pw pw pw grp fl P Route 77:310/211.10 - - - - ABDGP - 2 2:286/207.10 2:280/6207.10 2:280/6207.10 - - - - NM ! 2 2:286/207.10 - - - - NM ! 2 Running BBBS Bogus D with a setup like this gives me this: 77:310/211.10 <- 2:286/207.* 2:280/6207.* How come? I really don't like to all mail for all Fido akas to that one point... Or is there a better way to do it? Thanks in advance.
