I use Adept adf111y.zip

I do not use Orion, since in spite of the more recent date, it never got
past the alpha/beta test stage, AFAIK.  Too many reports of major problems
with it. 

If possible you should attempt to AreaFix the ADEPT_SYSOP echo, where you
will find more help.

Yes with an event.

Be careful with your FLAGS.  In that case it closes the land line modem
port so that modem becomes free for use by InJoy.  It also forces that
event to run and waits for it to finish before going to the next event.

Although I avoid NewsGroups I do think that will work.  As for E-Mail
AFAIK that would require a static IP address and a registered domain
name (although DynIP might work).  I sold my domain name before I got
around to trying E-Mail directly into Adept.

I use Mr/2Ice for E-Mail and I could use that for NewsGroups as well.
But of course that does not post those msgs into the Adept msg-base.
