as i use two seperate modems and frontdoor on my system, i can't say about 
externally shutting down or suspending bink but i seem to recall in my days of 
messing around with it that it could run external events... that's where i'd 
go... external event that fires up your dialout and gathers what it needs, and 
then when it shuts down, returns to binkley...
