Unfortunately, I am not familiar enough with WS/Borland to say for sure. You might try asking in the Linux echo and see what folks have to say. I have not yet found a text editor in linux that I am completely happy with. I have used the editor built-into Midnight Commander some, and have also used Gedit, which I like better. Most of them do not create files that are portable to other systems (i.e. DOS, etc.). They usually have embedded characters of some sort (possibly tabs) that don't translate correctly in "straight text" under other OSes. I don't seem to notice that problem as much with gedit, however.
