IIRC, the one stick had problems. In this case, it is an AMD K6/2-450 on a DFI motherboard. The two memory sticks were different brands. IIRC, the flakey one was Centon (or something like that). It doesn't have a brand label on it. It might be that the motherboard can't handle it properly, but the reason I switched to this motherboard from a VA503+ is that I was having unexplained problems. When I had the same problems or worse with the DFI board, I started looking at memory, and narrowed it down to the one stick. My memory goofed when I said 512Mb stick. Actually, it was a 256Mb stick that was causing problems, leaving me with 256Mb on my eCS box instead of 512Mb. RW> It took a lot of parts swapping to figure it was the CPU.
