Unfortuanely, that leaves me with an unused Stephen, Is it solid with either 512MB stick?? I have seen a few Compaq's that had problems with 2 memory sticks, (even two from other boxes). In 2 or 3 it was the CPU itself. In 1 (iIrr) it was the mother board. It took a lot of parts swapping to figure it was the CPU. The first one I called Compaq and let them call the m-board as bad. When it wasn't, they sent a CPU and that fixed it. Rich I-Net turtil@frontiernet.net .... Anger is a relative state. --- * Origin: Turtil's Pond BBS. Monroe NY 845-783-2106 (1:2624/50) .
