Subj : Email Clients... To : Will Honea From : Peter Knapper Date : Thu Jul 28 2005 08:28 pm Hi Will, WH> This got too long to quote so I'll amplify. First, I'm using the build WH> you reference. I finally tracked down the mail list again the other WH> night (the web site link is busted) and got caught up. You're right, WH> the build 1965 is rock solid. There are newer dailies available but WH> I'm not in the mood for more beta testing right now. ... chomp... a lot of good stuff there ... WH> The only thing I would like to do is have each user access their mail WH> from their own drives so that cross-account security was better but I WH> haven't found anything besides running my own POP2/SMTP servers that WH> will do everything so this is the best solution I've found to date. I have been toying with that concept myself, if only to provide a single point of "input" management, but setting different outbound Email addresses for each account may be tricky.... WH> As for the decoding stuff, attachments are never decoded except by WH> explicit action on your part. Excellent! WH> I'm a text-only fanatic myself I never use html on outbound, SANP! Likewise, I avoid HTML Email wherever possible. I have even managed to coerce Outlook to send plain text Email to most of my external contacts at work, and that brings looks of puzzelment from those around me, even though they work in the computer industry they can't possibly believe Bills S/W would do something to hurt them..........;-) Cheers...............pk. --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: Another Good Point About OS/2 (3:772/1.10) .
