I am about to drift down memory lane here... In fact that > site - Peter, You started a bit earlier then me. The first system I did programing on was an IBM System 23. It was more a PC then a main frame. Mid to late 70's iIrr. I think it had 3 or 4 8 inch floppies. I went to school for main frame op's around 1992. They had a IBM 4340 when I started, but replaced it with a 4380. There were 3 9-track drives, about 20 hard drives, and 2 line matrix (iIrr) printers. School found me a job with a mini system and 4 terminals (total for the office). After a year I converted them to a Novell server and 15 stations, mostly diskless. More programing in FoxPro under DOS. After that office closed, I went to school for Novell cert. That school put me in a Windows site. They taught me how to install NT3.51, then NT 4.0. That site lasted through 4 companies. When I got laid off I took MCSA courses which included Comptia's A+ and Net+. I got the Comptia certs and want to start the MS tests before the summer ends. Lately, I have started playing with MySQL. I want to learn to program the queries to be accessed from a browser for lookups. Will check the links you listed later.
