Subj : Email Clients... To : Peter Knapper From : mark lewis Date : Wed Jul 27 2005 08:22 am PK> Here is where my preferences stand out and really define what I PK> would call a "useful product". My "ideal" Mail Client should be PK> able to pick up mail from multiple POP3/IMAP accounts, and put ALL PK> received messages into just ONE INBOX. Then I use "scripts" to PK> identify specific Email and store them appropriately, the rest I PK> can distribute into a single message storage "tree". I would then PK> like to be able to reply to messages such that the arrival address PK> of the input message is used to determine the origin address of the PK> reply (if this makes sense). ml> this sounds like Thunderbird... is there an OS/2 version of it ml> available? PK> Yes there is, and I had a look at a v0.9x version (but quickkly PK> junked it), but I didn't notice that capability at that time... i don't remember what version i started using but it does have a "central" folder tree that all mail can be dropped into and then you can seperate it out later with filters... i use it with 5 accounts but opposite of you, i drop each account into its own tree and leave the "central" one empty... when i write a message, i can choose which account to use and when i reply to a message, there is a default one that is chosen and can be changed... these settings are all in the account setup area... )\/(ark * Origin: (1:3634/12) .
