WH> Right now, I'm using fotoget (from Hobbes). You just have to make WH> sure your system recognizes you USB connected camera as a disk drive. Ack on all that thanks, that was the way I was looking at heading... WH> BTW, assuming you do get the camera recognized, even xcopy will work WH> with a lot of cameras but resist the temptation as the WPS and OS/2 WH> will try to write ea info to the camera and generally manage to screw WH> it up in the process to where you lose what's in the cmaera. I have heard about that issue, but someone suggested that there was a way to get the drive to "ignore" EA support, but I have no details on how this is done... WH> I have also WH> used Nicks-something or other-program which is also on hobbes but WH> fototget is simpler. Both will translate the file ID's to date strings WH> for names which isa a big plus. I already have both of those so that should be useful. WH> In days gone by I have made money at everything from carnival WH> roustabout as a teenager to free-lance photographer to pharmacist to WH> fighter pilot to college professor. Now thats what I call versatility........;-) WH> I am not WH> atristically impressed by the digital models simply because they lack WH> adequate control over exposure and definition for my tastes. Do you mean control over the equivalent of aperature and speed? I have found that it can be handy to massage the digital image using something like PmView, but I have not done extensive testing to see what is possible. Cheers...................pk. --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: Another Good Point About OS/2 (3:772/1.10) .
