PK> All ideas welcome............pk. Go to eBay, buy a used Lexmark Optra S (or newer laser printer) with a network card (or get a seperate marknet card). As an example, I have a 40ppm Lexmark Optra T622 with 100mbit ether coming for $200 including shipping. The built in print servers should be accessed using unix style LP printing. It's been way too long since I've had to configure that under OS2 but recall it was very clearly stated in the gui TCPIP configuration tool. LP printing support goes WAY back in OS2 (probably to vers 3 or earlier) so should be available to all versions and fixpacks. Windows newer than 98 can also directly print to an LP printer. Note that you don't add a network printer, but instead add a port which is an IP address. The printer queue name for the LP printer is usually irrelevant for anything that doesn't have multiple printers. I usually just use lp for the queue name. Good luck... but it should be an easy config. Dave Calafrancesco, Team OS/2 dave@drakkar.org ....
