Does this happen with only one particular program or with all programs? I have been running SNAP and other Scitech drivers for years without that difficulty. I had a problem with previous video cards where they would lose video leaving me with broad vertical bars and only a reboot would fix it, but my current video card (generic AGP GeForce 2 MX) has fixed that.
