There are no third-party tools that I know of outside of DFSee that are LVM compatible. The part about 0F partitions is also probably true. I know the first version of the DOS Partition Magic that complains about large extended partitions not being 0F if it encountered any is PM 6.0, so 5.0 might not recognize it. If you aren't using Windows on the machine, though, it's probably a moot point. ....
