Subj : Thats the picture... OS/2 had excellent card reader BK> support, so it is no problem for me to copy over all BK> the images, as the CF card shows up as just another BK> drive. This sounds pretty much what I am looking for. Except I am a bit behind the times on all the technical details of the components......;-) Ok, my research reveals that a CF PCMCIA Card Reader appears not to be PCMCIA specific at all, but a USB Card Reading device that reads "CF Memory Cards". I note that local suppliers offer a bewildering variety of card readers, often quoted as "5 in 1" up to "15 in 1" USB 2.0 Card Readers. Most seem to support the "CF" standard. One such device that seems popular in NZ is - Belkin F5U249, 15 in 1 Card Reader, USB 2. Media supported includes - - XD Picture Card, CompactFlash I, CompactFlash II, SmartMedia?, Secure Digital, Mini Secure Digital (Mini SD)**, MultiMediaCard, RSMMC**, IBM) Microdrive? - Memory Stick), Memory Stick Pro, Memory Stick Duo**, Memory Stick Pro Duo, Memory Stick MagicGate*, and Memory Stick MagicGate Duo** I guess the "CompactFlash I, CompactFlash II" looks like the CF cards... Is this the sort of thing you are talking about? What USB specific driver support is required under OS/2 for these? Thanks...............pk. --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: Another Good Point About OS/2 (3:772/1.10) .
