Subj : checking for bad sectors under OS/2 To : Sean Dennis From : Johan Zwiekhorst Date : Tue Apr 19 2005 10:07 am Hi Sean! In your message to Michael Balcos, dated , you wrote: MB>> Thanks for the info. The link you gave provided an updated MB>> IBM1S506.ADD. It didn't provide an OS2DASD.DMD. Do I still need MB>> it? If so, where can I find it? >SD: There's one on Hobbes (check for DANIDASD or somesuch). However, if >SD: your system is using LVM, you can't use the newer driver. How do you come to that conclusion? I have LVM and I can use the DANI drivers just fine. Michael uses Warp 3 Connect, so no LVM. Furthermore, I get the impression that his pc is a little bit older: he's using a 4,2 GB hard disk. A regular IBM driver may be a better bet in this case than the DANI driver, as the latter doesn't support all older chipsets and the IBM driver does.
