Subj : EXPLORER and SHEZ replace To : Peter Knapper From : Holger Granholm Date : Mon Apr 18 2005 10:13 pm In a message dated 04-18-05, Peter Knapper said to Mike Powell: Hi Peter and Mike, PK>What did you find useful in your DOS Days? I preferred Xtree Gold, PK>and for OS/2 there is Ztree Bold. Comes in OS/2 (ZtreeBold) and Win PK>(ZtreeWin) versions - http://www.ztree.com/ AMEN, I agree with all my heart and soul! PK>When I ran DOS I used SHEZ as well, .......... I tried SHEZ but I found that ArcMaster ran rings around it. Even now I sometime invoke AM if I want to look inside a ZIP file embedded into a bigger ZIP. Since AM is a DOS program I run it in an OS/2 DOS-window. That is one thing ZTB can't do without first extracting the embedded file. Dunno about the latest version, though. I'm using versions 1.94a and v1.92ba PK>ZtreeBold should do what you want, its just a question of if you PK>object to text mode interfaces (I certainly don't......;-)). For us that grew up with XTree, ZTBold was the natural heir when we upgraded to OS/2. The commands are in the spine like WordStar's (= QEdit/2). Have a nice day, Holger --- þ MR/2 2.30 þ "Einstein?
