In case you weren't aware, both 4OS2 and 4DOS are freeware now (one is a replacement for CMD.EXE, the other for COMMAND.COM in VDMs), and each has a much more powerful START command. 4OS2 will also implicitly start a VDM if you run a DOS program (or DOS batch file) in a VIO session. No explicit START needed (most of the time, anyway). JP Software's last version of 4OS2 (now freeware): ftp://jpsoft.com/free/4os2304.zip Scitech's modified version (with a few bug fixes): http://www.scitechsoft.com/ftp/devel/4os2/4os2304f.zip and JP Software's last version of 4DOS (also now freeware): http://download.jpsoft.com/4dos/4dos.exe The copy of 4DOS on the JP Software site is a Windows EXE, but you can still use UNZIP to unzip it under OS/2 or DOS. ....
