I ran Ran a BBS on my Radio Shack Model one Computer way back in the late 1970's and contined running a BBS with Fidonet Mail and Files for 18-20 years, with over 400 callers per month but I finally took the BBS down about 5 years ago when my Callers drindled down to two or three calls per month.. At one time therre was Over 400 BBS'a in my Net around Austin Texas and over 400 down the road in San Antonio,, now there is no BBS's or Fidonet Nodes San Antonio,TX and Only a few Fidonet Nodes in Austin.. Please check a new Current Nodelist.z77 !!! Before you Publish your new BBSList with the Phone Numbers you got from the OLD OCTOBER Nodelist (That 5 Months Ago) to make sure those Phone numbers are still valid in the Current Nodelist.. I would hate to be one of the people who were given that phone number after the BBS was gone to get several Phone calls late at night on their Phone number now being used as a Voice Phone, and when they answer it, all they get is a Modem sound.. Sadly to say, but in todys INTERNET Culture, the Majority of the computer using Public and even Most Computer sales people, NEVER heard of a BBS or Fidonet...
