Subj : OS/2 and Samba Networking To : All From : Mike Powell Date : Mon Mar 14 2005 12:38 pm A while back, I was able to get my OS/2 box to "talk" to my debian linux box, which runs samba. I was able to access my /home directory on the linux box, and copy files to and from the OS/2 box. At some point, this quit working. I had quit using the OS/2 box for a while (I was waiting for my cable internet connection), and when I started using it again, I could still see the share folders but, when I tried to view the contents, I got an error message. Something like "nothing matching criteria." Not exact, and I am not in front of the box to copy it down at the moment. The only thing I can figure is that I upgraded samba on the linux box in the meantime. I run stable, so I am not using the bleeding edge, but I did upgrade to a backported version of samba that contained, due to a security issue with the version I was running. Has anyone else run into this problem? Mike --- * SLMR 2.1a * Does anybody here remember Vera Lynn? --- GTMail 1.26 * Origin: Kentucky's Capitol City Online * 502/875-8938 (1:2320/105.0) .
