I have try out different editors to manage texts. Even SPFPC (some weird mainframe cloned editor). But this was to difficult to manage. Some vi clone was good to use but using a simple editor makes my life simple and easy. I am a simple man you know. It seems most linux users from the first our are using the standard command line editors instead of X stuff. In most cases I like to use the X environment. This is maybe I also like to use the Windows (or OS/2) environment. MP> MP> Slackware setup is divided in package, but you can choose what MP> programs you wan't to install from that package. Yesterday I was in big trouble. I was trying to reinstall a Linux system near other operating systems and due this inside a different partition of the disk. After the installation of the common software the setup sofrware was unable to install the LILO boot manager inside the /boot partition of my system. After booting with a floppy and manage manually the installation of LILO to the right partition everyting was all right. Strange it must be done manually by the root.... MP> ... Crime doesn't pay...
