Subj : Bank machines still OS/2 To : Rob Basler From : Baden Kudrenecky Date : Wed May 24 2000 12:42 pm Responding to Rob Basler from 1928-05-17 concerning Bank machines still OS/2, on Os-Debate Hi Rob: RB> MB> BK> The RB> MB> BK> majority of ATMs around the world, and of banks in Canada and other RB> MB> BK> countries use OS/2. RB> RB> MB>I'm really getting tired of this arguement. It's old and RB> MB>probaly not true anymore. RB> RB> Well, the Royal and Toronto Dominion banks (2 of the big 4) here in RB> Canada both use OS/2 for their in-branch systems and for their ATM's. I did not see the original message, it may be lost in the FIDO ether, but the CIBC uses OS/2 also. Evidently Matt has no interest in the REAL computer world, where OS/2 still has a large market share. hasta luego, baden baden@unixg.ubc.ca http://baden.nu/ ___ X KWQ/2 1.2i X Running without Microsoft or Intel --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: T-Board (1:153/908) .
