I have a hunch that it's related to your ->earlier reported problems with corrupted mail packets. Causes could ->include hard drive/file system trouble, file transfer protocol problems, ->or glitches at the BBS end. Probably the easiest test would be to switch ->BBSes for a while (no disrespect to your current Sysop intended, here). I'm sysop at Chowdanet. There have been two users out of the number on here who do offline mail who have had the problem. Unfortunately, both ran MM at the time. Nobody else has had anything like this. The other user besides Jimmy has switched to another OLR, and there's been no problem. Also, she had no problems before she went to MM. To be honest, my guess is that it's something unique to the combination of Wildcat 4 and Multimail. The other user tied it to editing an existing message. Since I don't use an OLR, I can't help much. I've tried to find a way to have WC move the uploaded packets to a holding area for later review, but there's been no luck. It appears to be some internal Wildcat routine which I can't seem to break into. As I've mentioned, I'm more than willing to work with the author to try to figure what's happening. -c- sysop@chowda.com --- ViaMAIL!/WC v1.60d * Origin: Chowdanet (401-331-0615) telnet://chowdanet.com (1:323/120) .
