Yes, below is my MMAIL.RC file.  As for the reply packet, I don't have 
that, as the "old" replies are "killed"; I am sending you via email the 
next mail packet I downloaded from chowdanet (along with some notes), 
where you can see the havoc I wrought...

however, William, not being a programmer, I have to go with my "gut
feeling" here; I think what happened was she sent me a 2-part reply, 
using SLMR, and it split the long reply into 2 parts.  There was a "1/2" 
and "2/2" added to each header, which stayed on my "replies", and I 
think that caused the problem...?

It somehow seemed to reset them; I had to "reselect" the conferences and
the last-read pointers.  I just use the offline reader there (my local 
BBS "Nerve Center") since qwk mail works as well as BW mail.  The main 
reason I used BW mail was to try out the OLR "BW Explorer".
