Can't tell by the JD> extensions, as they have all been renamed. When you open a packet, in the area list, look towards the bottom of the screen, in the field labelled "Type:". It will say "Blue Wave" or "QWK" (or one of several other possibilities), as appropriate. (It's actually indicating the type of the highlighted area, but part of that is the packet type.) -=> Jimmy Day wrote to Greg Sears <=- JD> What's an easy way to see if a mail packet is QWK or BW without JD> unzipping? You can't do it without unzipping. Although you could do it just by _listing_ the archive with an unzipper, rather than _extracting_ it. And then there's the method I use: I only download one type of packet from a given BBS, and I remember what it is. :-) So if I look at a packet named "commport.231", I know it's Blue Wave; "fonix.150" is QWK; "telocity.093" is SOUP, etc. Though there are some exceptions (e.g., I was getting OPX packets from Fonix for a while). Why do you want to know, anyway? .... Heisenberg may have slept here. --- MultiMail/Linux v0.43 * Origin: COMM Port OS/2 juge.com 204.89.247.1 (281) 980-9671 (1:106/2000) .
