I can't see why they'd be considered too slow, they've been used for it in
the past.... you might have to run the burner at 1x speed.

"only" and "6 years" don't go together in computer hardware context..

Only 6 years ago "everyone" was using 486s, because 75Mhz pentiums were
still too expensize. now everthing is running 10 times faster than that.
