Yeah.. but it was hard (er.. impossible) to integrate modern backup
programs and hardware onto that pc (VLB, 486/66).   Now I'm basically
forced to by a new computer so that I can use a cdrw for backups.

As for contingency plans.. yeah, I'm glad that Fido echos are available
through fine web-able boards like DocsPlace.org and FidoTel.com.
