What? That's what '[' and ']' are for: to indicate that it's a paraphrase.
It seems to me to be preferrable to quoting large chunks of text just to
make sure that all the relevant bits are included. Do you feel that the
above misrepresents what you said? I don't believe it does.

I believe I've already said as much (haven't I?), in which case it wouldn't
be an assumption. :-)

I did have a point set up, briefly, in the distant past. I never did any
messaging with it, only a few F'Reqs.
