I like EdWord (from Canada) which I have used for years and 
started using because MS Edit.com was file size limited to about 
200 KB and I often search long text files.  It also worked well 
with ShareSpell.

Now Edit is unlimited (as far as I can tell) and allows opening 
multiple files.  It is also the default for DOS Multimail in the 
configuration file.  Now I'd probably use that.

A more serious problem: 

Someone told me that ShareSpell was limited to processors 
running under 200 MHz.  I was using a 166 MHz AMD K6 and was 
accordingly unconcerned.  I recently bought a ASUS P5-99MV 
motherboard on sale to run a 300 MHz K6 leftover from another 
machine.  It now appears that he was right.  Now what?  
JSpell?  Cut & paste into Word?  Hmmmmmmm.
