There are many programs which you can try, some freeware, others are 
shareware, but most are older 16 bit software that is no longer being 
developed.  I suggest you go to Jim Hanoian's Offline Reader WEBsite and 
take a look at some of the offerings.

You might want to ask for assistance directly to the author with regards 
to the problem you're having with MultiMail.  He monitors this 
conference.
