Subj : Quote indicators To : William McBrine From : Jim Hanoian Date : Wed Nov 08 2000 02:32 am In the conversion of a BBS network to support NNTP access, it appears that the sender's name appears in a couple of different patterns such as: "Joe.Green" "Joe Green" In these cases, Multimail uses the " and < as initials, which makes a quote look sorta strange: "<> or "G<> Is there any way to make Multimail ignore the initial quote and parse the name a bit better? When I talked to Jim Smith about this in Speed, he was able to make it consider the period as a name separator and successfully identify Joe.Green to JG> Thanks! ....
