 Making the confs available is newsgroup format is probably
 better than either QWK/BW/QWKE/etc these days.  Do boards
 get any new-to-boards-period users these days, or is it all
 new-to-this-board ones?  It seems only the latter.  At least
 people with OE and the like already have newsreaders, even if
 they may never have used those abilities.  The easiest method
 for new users would probably be confs as mailing lists, since
 email is something you can likely count on every internet user
 to have actually used.
