Subj : 1st Reader & XP To : KEN CONKLIN From : Charles Scaglione Date : Thu Mar 10 2005 12:37 pm Hi Ken: KC> Can anyone tell me how to get 1st reader to work with Windows XP? KC> Thanks! Try running it in a "cmd.exe" window, not "command.com" window. There seems to be better DOS emulation by using "cmd.exe" rather than command.com. Once you've setup the cmd.exe window for 1st Reader, open properties and play around with the options. KC> # CMPQwk #1.4# UNREGISTERED EVALUATION COPY The latest version of CMPQwk is 1.42 which is still available for download from sites that carry archives of older applications. Do a Google search for it. Since it can no longer be registered, you may (to my understanding) use it freely. It works very well (for me anyway) in XP Home or Pro.
