First, note that there's no asm source in MultiMail proper, and never will be. All keyboard and screen handling is done via curses calls, so this would have to be patched on the level of the curses library -- PDCurses, in this case. The current keyboard check within PDCurses is a black box: a call to kbhit(), which is a system library function. I don't even have the source for the Turbo C++ version of kbhit(), as used in the XT port. But I could try compiling that module of PDCurses to asm and see what I can find...
