Sounds logical. What I've done here (adhering to the 'keep it simple'
principle) is to set "mmHomeDir:", "TempDir:", "PacketDir:", "ReplyDir:"
and "SaveDir:" all to C:\MM, and I've set "PacketSort:" to Time. That
way, I can see the .REP packet names at a glance, from the opening
screen.

You could also try addressing a message to him, here, with your
suggestion. He was in here, not too long ago, announcing the release of
version 0.46 (which was an offer I couldn't refuse <G>).
