The system that gates msgs tween a couple of my echos & their mailinglist counterparts is accessible by dial-up, telnet, and http browser. Not to speak bad of Jay, but I think his refusal to use the newer methods of echo access is what killed the net much earlier than it should have died. Like fido, it was going out but access by email and so forth would've kept people connected for a while longer. Word is that a bunch of PODSters set up a mailing list on (now) yahoogroups somewhere.
