From: Ami & Raija Shachar, Tel-Aviv ISRAEL Robin: I LOVE this! Lately we have been deluged with statements that we need to be orderly, even to be worthy of Feng Shui, or by Suze Orman, that one feels like a mortal sinner if he or she is not up to this standard! What a burden! As a fellow Pisces, I share Einstein's view. As a messy kind of guy, I can't help it. I love it! Who dares to impose his or her view on the rest of us, that we should all be neat and orderly? But, more to the point, it is not in orderliness that genius is found. It is in the synthesis of much, chaos included, that something 'new' and wonderful is given birth. We can draw from the infinite, unless we try to make it finite. We drink from the eternal, till we decide our cup is too full. So, to try to organize and regiment the aliveness of the cosmos, to make it fit into a mold, a human sense of order, makes the vastness into something we can understand. But our understanding is so little, and that we seek to know so large.... There is an old fable...St. Jerome was walking on a beach struggling to comprehend the idea of the Holy Trinity. He met a child there who was taking a pail and going from the beach to the ocean, filling it with water, and pouring the water into a hole. Jerome asked the child "What are you doing?" The child said, "I intend to put the whole ocean in my hole in the sand." Jerome said, "That's impossible, see how vast is the sea, and see how small is the hole into which you are pouring the water!" The child replied, "But you are trying to put the great mystery of the Trinity into a form your mind can contain. Don't you see this is the same?" So, our minds are not the vehicles to contain what is beyond them. Sometimes, we need only let what is be what it is. There is a great peace in letting go. --- Msged/2 4.00 * Origin: Elfwhere - The POINTy eared POINT (3:640/531.2379) .
