Subj : Comments...Meditation Tip To : All From : Rachel L. Akers Date : Sat Jun 09 2001 11:07 pm The Meditation Tip of the Day - June 08, 2001 -------------------------------------------- The most essential method, which includes all methods, is beholding the mind. Boddhidharma Robin: We are mental beings. Our identity is not physical but mental. In a sense, the physical and mental are one. The body and mind, as we usually experience them are not two but a unity. So, when we 'behold the mind,' we are really engaging the totality, the all of what we are. Boddhidharma was the man in legend who brought Buddhist teachings from India to China and started the Dhyaha school of meditation, which became Cha'an in China and finally Zen in Japan. So, here we are. The world is born anew each day. There is no past to drag along with it. And we too are reborn daily. Whether young or old, we really are not who went to bed last night. That 'self' is dead and gone. So let go, just let go, let go...... Embrace, if you will, the daybreak. You are the light of the world, and if you don't know this, then this is the lesson you came to learn. And if you are lonely and hopeless, I will hold your hand. I have known loneliness and hopelessness, so I understand how you feel. I love you....I love you with all my heart and soul. And I will not abandon you, not ever! I promise you that if you call on my name, I will be there for you. In the name of the God and Goddess, we cannot fail to be there for each other! There is no time not to love. --- Msged/2 4.00 * Origin: Elfwhere - The POINTy eared POINT (3:640/531.2379) .
