1) the matter of "should" was not the topic of discussion. The topic was,
if hell is real, then a 
disbelief in hell makes no difference regarding whether you go there.

2) As for your comment, that assumes that your personal wishes are the
end-all be-all cosmic 
qualifier, above and beyond what any possible deity might think. But that's
a topic that can be 
quite long, I suspect. :-)
