Handfasting is a wedding ritual, basically.  There's as many handfasting 
rituals out there as there are belief systems, I'm sure.  The one that I 
"officiated" at was quite simple and in my opinion, quite romantic.  A high 
priestess officiated for the ceremony and spoke some very nice words.  I can't 
completely remember the rest as I have failing memory, but I do remember that I 
thought it would be something I'd like to have done if and when I ever married 
again.
