                 Daily Goddess: WILLENDORF GODDESS 
 
         The Willendorf Earth Goddess is the oldest sculpture of a 
        human form yet uncovered. She represents the primordial 
        Ancestress who gave birth to all of Creation out of Her 
        bountiful body.
 
         Our love story with Earth begins by addressing our 
        relationship with with our own woman body in all its fleshy 
        softness. When you love your body, you are able to listen to 
        its real needs. Self-loathing that stems from body shame 
        causes many women to withdraw from the joy of Living and 
        Being, and avoiding relationships, sexual pleasure, career 
        opportunities and physical exercise.
 
         The Goddess loves all bodies. Begin welcoming the Goddess 
        into your bodymind with the following meditation. Imagine 
        having a conversation with a part of your body you have 
        constantly disliked. Begin with a few simple questions: "How 
        can we be friends?"  "How can I show my love?" Keep a journal 
        of your experiences. Practice simple ceremonies of Self Love.
        Your body is the most important teacher you'll ever know.
 
         The "miracles" we seek from external sources are nothing 
        compared to the miracles waiting to happen when we develop a 
        joyous relationship with the Goddess within. When we act in 
        loving ways to diminish the suffering in our body, we 
        contribute to the healing of Earth.
 
 AFFIRMATION: I love the Earth, My Mother, as I love my Woman Body. I am 
uniquely beautiful inside, outside and all over. I will not live by standards 
that are not my own. My body is a miracle.
