Tribal Spirits Samhain Gathering begins Date: Thursday, October 26, 2000 Time: All Day Tribal Spirits SerpentStone Samhain Gathering October 26-29, 2000 at Dragon Hills, near Carrollton, GA As the veil thins, step beyond the mundane world to a place imbued with magick and wonder. Descend into the Underworld; explore the Mysteries, and feel the strength of the Web as it pulls you back to Life. Share the wisdom of the Ancestors; step back in Time with them. Enjoy the fruits of the Harvest, and join with us as we give thanks to the Gods as the Wheel of the Year winds to its end and new beginning. Join us for worship, networking, workshops, music and feast. Share in of the excitement of the Tribal Dance, the mystery of the Descent into the Underworld. We invite all to either individually or as a group decorate their camp with Tribal banners and decor (ancestral, adopted, or imagined), reflecting the multitude of personalities, dreams, ideas and heritage that comprise our Community. Let us see the wonder and diversity the Gods have created, and realize all Paths are sacred. Feel free to set up appropriate ancestral altars or altars to the Gods at your campsite also. PRACTICAL MATTERS Please be a responsible camper and bring camp gear like sleeping bags, extra blankets, tent, tarp, warm clothes, raingear, drinks and snacks, etc. Musical instruments, drums, ritual and feast gear should also come if you have them! If in doubt, feel free to contact us about appropriate gear or substitutes for those with few resources. We'll supply food for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, and main dish supper on Friday and Saturday. Use your imagination to create tribal decor for your camp, and for yourself (costumes welcome!!). Also bring attire (to wear, and if desired, to trade) for the Leather, Velvet, Silk, Etc. Party! PLEASE BRING POT-LUCK OFFERING FOR FEAST. It need not be prepared unless baked. Items such as fresh veggies or fruit, breakfast meats, desserts, salad items, breads, etc. are most welcome! Please drop these off at the kitchen as soon as possible after arriving, so our Kitchen Witches can begin working their magick! Having enough for everyone is dependent upon everyone bringing something, so please help us have a bountiful feast! OTHER RULES Respect the paths of others, and respect the land. Bad attitudes, violence, illegal drugs, or other inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Please leave pets, familiars, and monstrous egos at home. Most of all, though, HAVE FUN!
