Subj : Plugging Netware into Peer-to-Peer Windows Hub KILLS Internet Connect To : All From : Justin Moss Date : Sun Sep 24 2000 04:50 pm From: Justin Moss Hi, I hope you can help ... SITUATION: 5 x Windows 98SE networked using Peer-to-Peer (worked happily for 6 months) Windows Internet Connect Sharing installed (worked happily for 6 months) We have a need to connect Netware LAN to remaining port in Netgear hub. PROBLEM As soon as we plug the cable from the Netware LAN machine into the spare port, Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) is disabled across the entire network. NB: File access over the network is still possible, it is only the ICS that is disabled. QUESTION Is there some configuration change I can make to allow the Netware Client to connect to our peer-to-peer network WITHOUT disabling the Windows Internet Connection Sharing ? HELP Your help is appreciated. Would you please reply E-MAIL (as well as reply POST). Thank you, justin@ozemail.com.au --- Mozilla 4.75 [en] (Win98; U) * Origin: Hotmoss Media Pty. Ltd.
