Subj : Can Netware be used to "firewall" for an ADSL link? To : Leonard Erickson From : Jesper S”rensen Date : Tue Aug 22 2000 12:39 pm LE>> I was tlaking with someone about ADSL and the need for a "firewall" LE>> of some sort, and it suddenly occured to me to wonder if there's an LE>> NLM or LE>> some such that could run on a Netware Server to handle this? NetWare 5 with SP2 and later supports Net Address Translation, which allows you to "hide" your internal network behind your NW server. There's also some simple TCP/IP filters you can use for opening/closing specific ports. It's not as good as a real firewall, but maybe it's enough for your needs?
