I've got it. But the problem isn't the network client, it's the
Internet browsers. The programmers for them never seem to have
considered the case of a system that's on a LAN, wants to be on the LAN
while connected to the Internet, and connects to the Internet via a
dial-up connection using a modem attached to the machine, not somewhere
out on the network.
