They can regulate their dealers (who have voluntarily entered in a contract with them) and they can have support policies which refuse to transfer registration rights/support to the second owner, but they cannot legally prevent you from selling your personal copy unless you have agreed in some contract with Novell not to do so. Why is it the software industry seems to always end up with competent companies peddling incompetent products, and the competent products peddled by incompetent companies?
