It is a joking variant of what you get to hear when you ringup a Dutch government agency for something. You get an automated message to say how many others there are waiting for their call to be answered by an official. Normally that number goes down all the time until your turn comes up, but the Dutch cabaretiers and conferenciers have taken the habit on stage with sketches where the number of waiting people actually goes up. And when the caller then is about to give up in despair, he gets a message saying that the cost of this call was twelve dollars eighteen or something. Nice training piece if you want to write an IVR script or so. SA> Dutch looks very similar to "english with hard german accent". Am I SA> wrong? Something like that. But don't let the Dutch hear that. Dutch is a proper language in its own right and not some dialect from their German neighbours.
