I use both 1.49 for W3.x and 4.?? for W9x on 2 seperate pcs.

1.49 doesn't get any ads, but when I check mail with Juno 4 I get ads, email 
ads containing graphics, and their monthly JunoLinks Newsletter.

I check mail a few times a month using the W95 pc so I can empty my mailbox of 
'any of the above' and any mail sent to me that has an Attachment attached to 
it.

I use to Log on to Juno WebMail to clean out the stuff I wouldn't get on W3.1 
Juno.
Now I fire up the W9x machine, JUST AFTER I check mail on the W3.x to see if 
anything is in there.

When I am ready to exit from Juno email on either pc I just click File - Exit.
When I am using the Web feature of Juno 4 I click the "X" in the upper left 
corner of the floating banner ad, and it is only 5 to 10 seconds before I'm 
disconnected.

The Netscape browser stays on the screen until I close it though.

I may just buy a new box, but it won't be a ME box. I think W98SE is as far as 
I want to go. I read comments about ME ignoring added AUTOEXEC.BAT settings, 
and giving DOS lovers a problem.

Yeah, I've read that MS deviated from the JAVA Standard with its' DirectX 
routines, and that causes problems for folks using SUNs and other Non MS 
Systems or Software trying to view web pages created by people who don't know 
how to write pages that the whole world can read.

I, like you, just start up IE4 if I am interested enough in seeing the page.
