EV> If Juno keeps Email free then I'll be OK, since I can use Juno 4 for EV> W95 a few times a month, on my other computer, to grab any messages my I use Juno also... it's works.. That's all i can say... I have noticed that in the past year, that there are no more advertisements on the Juno free email service. But! I see lots of busy signals when i try to connect.. yeah, i have to wait 5 minutes before exiting out of Juno but hwat the heck?! EV> I'm still wanting to use this 7 year old DOS/W3.1 486 until the smoke EV> rolls out of it. And then I'll try to look for a AT (not ATX) heh hehh heh.. Me? I love the old surplus 'puter parts store so i can stay "marginially' online.. MB> trial and no credit card required!!! And it said it runs on win 3.1, too! EV> They may not want a Credit Card but I expect the fine print still says EV> that they want to use a AUTOMATIC WITHDRAWAL from a persons checking Well, what happened is that the AOL looked for a win95 or better system and I did'nt have it so it installed aol 4.0 a second time... :{( EV> I looked in my BBS Abbreviations List and couldn't find IPAD in it. It's just my local system.. I've been hooked up with this BBS for 2 years now, and it works for me EV> Except for getting Complaints from some Web Pages about my browser not EV> being able to read their Page, NS 4.08 worked fine with W3.1 for me. That's my complaint about Netscape... it works sometimes but explorer works all the time But to honest with you, I don;t go online that much.. But when i do I know for a fact netscape 4.08 will 50% of the time say "document contains no data". So I switch to Explorer. But some websites have the narly java script written in it that only netscape will read, but you get the "document contains no data" crap, and it's frustrating. Actually, the facts of life are we have to upgrade. But my win 3.1 with a 14.4 USR modem suits me just fine.. But the 'world" disagrees and demands I upgrade. regards, Mike Barrett san diego ....
